This year has shown us how fast life can change. A massive shift for people who love travel. I don’t know about you, but I was a little shell-shocked when we had to scurry back home with our trailer from Baja, Mexico. We are muddling through without plans to head south this winter. On the up side, we’re travelling local and have time to find the perfect gifts for other RV owners on our list this coming holiday season!
Travel wasn’t the only shift. We all went from freewheeling, mall-shopping, carefree consumers to instant lockdown. During quarantine, we tried to order a jigsaw puzzle on Amazon. Apparently, everyone else had the same idea. We placed orders for a few other purchases, but the system was backlogged. Some of our requests were showing not days or weeks, but months to deliver. If you don’t think it can happen again, stay with the plan. But if you have a little foresight, it might not hurt to get ahead of the game this coming holiday season.

Loving the RV Life
We are all about getting outside and experiencing what we can, where we can, when we can. For us, it’s been taking the trailer out and about a little closer to home. I know a lot of our family and friends have been doing the same. They love their RV escapes and life spent mostly outdoors. I joke that our trailer is merely a comfy bed on wheels – and a good place to plan the next adventure on an off day!
Now that the season is winding down and temperatures are dipping below freezing overnight, I’m trying not think about how Christmas in the trailer worked out so well last year. I’m starting to think of hearth and home and holidays.
Holidays are Coming
I can still combine my interests with RV-related gift ideas – and get pleasure from the knowledge that one day soon we’ll all be back out there living the RV life. And the best part? These gifts for RV owners and campers are $50 or less. They are not going to break the bank.
Heads up – if any of my family are reading this, forget all you’re about to read. Not saying for sure, but there may be a bit of similarity between one or more of the following gifts for RV owners on this page and what is coming your way this Christmas! Just remember, it’s not the size or the cost of the gift that counts. It’s the thought and love that goes into its selection.
Gifts for RV Owners Under $50
This men’s long-sleeved T-shirt sums it all up, life is better at the campsite. I’ve selected a few gift ideas that run the gamut from clothing to RV supplies to eating and drinking. Hey, this is for the holidays, remember!
You’ll find these gift ideas grouped by price: Gifts for RV owners under $50, gifts under $40, under $30, $20 and great stocking stuffers under $10. Simply click on the image to find out more detail. What are you waiting for? Grab a cup of coffee and dive in!
Entertaining Gifts Under $40
As I mentioned, we spend the majority of our days outside. Active travel is our modus operandi. Nothing better than a river paddle, a desert bike ride or a mountain hike. But when we come back to camp in the evenings, it’s all about preparing good food – outside if we can! – and enjoying an evening game or two. We use our RV time wisely 😉
Curl Up with a Cup of Joe & a Good Book Under $30
This seems to be the sweet spot – gifts that RV owners will enjoy under $30. I’m a “must-have” cup of coffee in the morning kind of gal. Love this sleepy fox on an insulated mug. The rest are books – perfect for planning your next adventure or plotting the perfect cocktail for end of the day!
Practical Gifts Under $20
Practical can be also be a great gift. We’re always setting up clotheslines to air out socks and dry tea towels when boondocking. Probably my favourite items here though are the journals. I always keep one on our trips. How ’bout you?
Little Gift Ideas Under $10
Adventure Awaits – isn’t that the truth! This mishmash of little gift ideas range from trailer decor to decals, RV maintenance logbooks to RV-themed monthly calendars – and one more cookbook (couldn’t resist!).
Looking Forward to the Season
We can long for the good old days, when shopping for the holiday season was an exciting trip to brick and mortar stores – or we can go with the new norm. I’m opting for the latter. And now if I can get my family on board, I love the fox mug and the new camp cookbook and the trailer decal and… 😉

Hi Megan, I just LOVE your list of gifts (my favs are the french press, the clock and unfortunately I’m not able to choose which book I like best). I also got a little chuckle on your “heads up” remark to family. The photo of your trailer above sure makes me want to go camping again! During our travels we would also see some really great personalized/unique license plates. I think it’s safe to say that RV life has become quite contagious – thanks to COVID-19.
